Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Catholic's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

It's playoff time, and Charlotte Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a set and slipped past the St. Stephens Indians 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Charlotte Catholic was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 19-25, 20-25, 25-17, 15-9.

When it comes to explaining why St. Stephens lost on Saturday, don't look at Kendall Mohl. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and one assist. Player #8 also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Charlotte Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 7-18. As for St. Stephens, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-13.

Coming up, Charlotte Catholic will challenge Alexander Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Stephens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
