Softball Game Preview: Normangee Panthers vs. Centerville Tigers

The Normangee Panthers will head out to square off against the Centerville Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Normangee will be strutting in after a victory while Centerville will be coming in after a loss.

Normangee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Oakwood with a sharp 18-7 win on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Normangee considering their two-run performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Centerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to Slocum.

Kaleigh Charanza was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-1. Skyler Selvog was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one double.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Normangee, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14.

Normangee took their win against Centerville when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 17-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
