Basketball Game Preview: Quitman County Hornets vs. Pataula Charter Academy Panthers

The Quitman County Hornets will square off against the Pataula Charter Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Quitman County had to suffer through a 90-36 loss at the hands of Early County. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Pataula Charter Academy came up short against Mitchell County on Tuesday, falling 62-36.

Quitman County will have to keep a close watch on Amyre Welch and Kylen Rainey, a pair of players who had a big impact on Pataula Charter Academy's prior game. Welch posted eight points, while Rainey had 12 points. Another player making a difference was Doljhai Williams, who scored four points and three blocks.

Quitman County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pataula Charter Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
