Volleyball Recap: Newton-Conover Comes Up Short

Newton-Conover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hickory Red Tornadoes, falling 3-0. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Red Tornadoes from their previous meeting back in August of 2021.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-14.

Newton-Conover's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hickory, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Newton-Conover has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Alexander Central on the 20th. As for Hickory, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Foard on the 19th.
