Softball Recap: Triad Comes Up Short

Triad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Fairbanks Panthers, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Monday.

Triad's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Fairbanks, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Triad will venture away from home to face off against Greeneview at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.33 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fairbanks, they will head out on the road to challenge Cedarville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
