Basketball Game Preview: Southridge Suns vs. Hanford Falcons

The Southridge Suns will head out to square off against the Hanford Falcons at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Southridge will be strutting in after a victory while Hanford will be coming in after a defeat.

Southridge took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Pasco by a score of 53-40. Given the Suns' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Kamiakin 73-11. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hanford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Southridge, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6.

Southridge took their victory against Hanford in their previous meeting on January 4th by a conclusive 55-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
