Basketball Game Preview: Garland Owls vs. Lakeview Centennial Patriots

Garland is 0-10 against Lakeview Centennial since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Garland Owls will host the Lakeview Centennial Patriots at 6:00 p.m.

Garland lost 65-42 to Wylie on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 676th, while the Pirates are ranked 236th).

Meanwhile, Lakeview Centennial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 30-18.

Lakeview Centennial pushed their record up to 20-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.6 points per game. As for Garland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-15.
