Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Phoenix put the hurt on the Jets with a sharp 16-2 victory on Friday. This was payback for the Phoenix, who suffered a 19-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sumalee Chanbunna was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Eimy Rodriguez, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
