Football Recap: Cottage Grove Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Cottage Grove took on Junction City on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Tigers, falling 28-8. The Lions have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

A big part of Junction City's victory came down to the chemistry between Kaden Shafer and his top target Zaidensen Dodson. Shafer rushed for ten yards and two touchdowns while Dodson rushed for 145 yards and one TD while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those rushing yards marked the first that Shafer has rushed for this season.

Cottage Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Junction City, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
