Volleyball Game Preview: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will take on the Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame will be strutting in after a victory while Clay-Battelle will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Notre Dame made easy work of Braxton County and carried off a 3-0 win.

The victory didn't come easy: Braxton County scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-22.

Notre Dame got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Piper Fryer out in front who had 22 digs and six kills. What's more, Fryer racked up 23 assists, the most she's had since back in August. Sophie Gum was another key player, getting 16 digs, 15 kills, and two blocks.

Meanwhile, Clay-Battelle came up short against St. Marys on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Notre Dame's victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Clay-Battelle, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
