Basketball Recap: Manchester Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Manchester, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Fairless Falcons on Friday as the Manchester Panthers made off with a 58-35 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Falcons are ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Manchester pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Fairless, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Manchester Panthers take on the Canton South Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Fairless will take on Tuscarawas Valley in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairless is facing Tuscarawas Valley at the right time seeing as Tuscarawas Valley is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
