Cleveland came tearing into  Thursday's  game with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the McDaniel Mountain Lions by a score of  4-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season,  with their most recent  win being a  6-4  victory  on Wednesday.
 Arlo Copony made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk). Cleveland is 3-1 when  Copony allows one or  fewer  earned runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Copony was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 Copony wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  James Ho, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base. Ho is becoming a predictor of Cleveland's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 3-8 when he doesn't).  Ezra Oster was another,  going 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run.
Cleveland pushed their record up to 6-8 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for McDaniel,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Cleveland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mountain Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
