Basketball Recap: Damien Rease Key Part of a Team Effort in Cougars Win

Weston Ranch won the last time they faced Bullard and things went their way on Monday too. The Weston Ranch Cougars secured a 73-69 W over the Bullard Knights.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weston Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damien Rease, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 23 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Rease has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrion Lilly, who shot 4-for-5 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards.

Weston Ranch's record is now 5-7. As for Bullard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Weston Ranch is taking a road trip to square off against Campolindo at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. As for Bullard, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sanger at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th.
