Soccer Game Preview: Grayslake Central vs. Libertyville

Grayslake Central is 0-4 against Libertyville since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rams will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

Grayslake Central is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Cary-Grove on Thursday. The Rams fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook North kept up with Libertyville until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Spartans a 4-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for Libertyville, who have now won three matches in a row.

They hit Glenbrook North with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sydney Dulak (2), Tess McGormley, and Danica Meller.

Libertyville's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Grayslake Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Grayslake Central came up short against Libertyville when the teams last played back in March of 2023, falling 3-1. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
