League recap: Chenango Forks extends winning streak with victory over General Brown

Chenango Forks added to the longest winning streak in Section 4 C Division III this week by beating General Brown, 35-18. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Blue Devils.

Chenango Forks was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Lions. Dave Hogan's team came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Chenango Valley's Bryan Pert and Gavin Ashman have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Pert has thrown for 928 yards this season, while Ashman has 35 catches for 535 yards. Vincent Darpino from Newark Valley leads the league in rushing with 717 yards.

The Blue Devils took down General Brown 35-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
