The Victory Christian Lions will look to defend their home court against the Appalachian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Victory Christian sitting on three straight wins and Appalachian on five.
Victory Christian put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-21 victory over Ragland on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Victory Christian has posted since December 4, 2023.
Victory Christian can attribute much of their success to William Wilson-Hueter, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 25 rebounds, and Peyton Scott, who scored 21 points along with six steals. Scott hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Caleb Wilson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Appalachian got the win against Talladega County Central on Thursday by a conclusive 77-51.
Victory Christian has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Appalachian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
Victory Christian might still be hurting after the 83-62 defeat they got from Appalachian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023.
