Baseball Game Preview: Hamilton Huskies vs. Notre Dame Prep Saints

The Hamilton Huskies will challenge the Notre Dame Prep Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame Prep took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hamilton, who comes in off a win.

Hamilton's tournament run continued when they took on Canyon del Oro on Thursday. Hamilton was the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Canyon del Oro. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Higley. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Notre Dame Prep got a good showing from JJ Dominguez, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Dominguez posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

At the plate, Jace Terry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Notre Dame Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hamilton took their win against Notre Dame Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2018 by a conclusive 15-5. Will Hamilton repeat their success, or does Notre Dame Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
