Volleyball Recap: Marian Catholic Comes Up Short at Home Against Chicago Christian

Marian Catholic unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Chicago Christian Knights on Wednesday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Marian Catholic was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Chicago Christian work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 26-24.

Chicago Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Marian Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Oak Forest on the 30th. As for Chicago Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Aurora Central Catholic on the 29th.
