Charlestown put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Eastern Musketeers  an   11-0 shutout. Considering the Pirates have won four games by more than six  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Lex Rose was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Rose was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news, Charlestown got a  massive  performance out of  Aj Todd, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  Todd a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Christian Grayson, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Charlestown  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in four consecutive  contests.
Charlestown pushed their record up to 6-0 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Eastern,  they are  on  a  21-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlestown will face off against Jeffersonville at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Eastern, they will take on South Central at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
