Football Recap: Centerville Takes a Loss

Centerville is still winless after their contest against Fairmont on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-17 heartbreaker at the hands of the Firebirds. The Elks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Firebirds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fairmont, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Centerville will take on rival Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fairmont is set to face off against their familiar foe Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
