Basketball Recap: Jackson Finds Playoff Glory Versus Starr's Mill

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jackson had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They took down the Starr's Mill Panthers 49-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Jackson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cayden Cornish led the charge by going 6-for-14 en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Weaver, who posted nine points and four steals.

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Starr's Mill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-7.

Coming up, Jackson will square off against Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kell will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Jackson surely won't give up without a fight. Starr's Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
