Basketball Recap: Bergenfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mary Help of Christians Academy last Monday, Bergenfield came back down to earth. The Bergenfield Bears were beaten by the NV - Demarest Norsemen 61-13 on Tuesday. The match marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bergenfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for NV - Demarest, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Bergenfield has already played their next game (against NV - Old Tappan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. NV - Demarest will challenge Teaneck at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Teaneck knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully NV - Demarest likes a good challenge.
