Baseball Recap: LaBrae Takes a Loss

If LaBrae was riding high fresh off their 23-3 takedown of Liberty on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell just short of the Lakeview Bulldogs by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

LaBrae saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Glaser, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Easton Armstrong, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double.

LaBrae's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Lakeview, their record is now 7-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaBrae will take on Springfield at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakeview, they will square off against West Branch at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
