Basketball Recap: Mound City Comes Up Short

Mound City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 68-34 to the Osborn Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2020.

Mound City's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Osborn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

Mound City will square off against Northeast Nodaway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mound City is facing Northeast Nodaway at the right time seeing as Northeast Nodaway is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Osborn has already played their next matchup, a 48-46 win against Lawson on the 22nd.
