Soccer Recap: Lawrence Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Shawnee Mission East + How To Watch

Lawrence faced Shawnee Mission East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lawrence of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Patrick Sandefur, who's now up to 20 this season.

Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 10-2-1. As for Shawnee Mission East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2-1.
