Basketball Recap: The New Community School Sabers vs. Tidewater Academy Warriors

The New Community School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 47-29 to the Tidewater Academy Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-33 two weeks ago.

Tidewater Academy was led to victory by Henry Berryman and Conner Fillmore. Berryman posted 14 points, while Fillmore scored 13 points. Henry Weber was another key player, putting up seven points.

The New Community School's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tidewater Academy, they moved to 4-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The New Community School will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while.
