Soccer Recap: Waupaca Comes Up Short

Waupaca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Freedom Irish. While losing is never fun, Waupaca can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Freedom are ranked 92nd).

Waupaca's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-2. As for Freedom, they pushed their record up to 10-1-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Waupaca wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Hortonville on the 16th. As for Freedom, they have also already played their next match, an 8-0 victory against St. Mary Catholic on the 16th.
