Volleyball Recap: Dakota Comes Up Short

Dakota was the 2-0 winner over Adams when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Highlanders on Thursday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dakota might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Adams: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22.

Dakota's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Adams, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.

Dakota will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on May 5. As for Adams, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Chippewa Valley on the 24th.
