Basketball Recap: Eastwood Eagles vs. Otsego Knights
There's no place like home for the Eastwood Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 45-35 win over Otsego on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eastwood also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Otsego saw an underclassman step up: Cailyn Rider almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rider has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Cornell, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Eastwood pushed their record up to 12-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Otsego, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastwood will take on the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Otsego, they will be playing at home against the Green Bears at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
