The Ann Sobrato Bulldogs will take on the Gilroy Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ann Sobrato is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Ann Sobrato's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Notre Dame as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Sam Zimmerman was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zoe Rodriguez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Graciella Marchan was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one double.
Ann Sobrato hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 6-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Gilroy entered their tilt with Leland on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Chargers.
Not much got past Stella Rhodas, who gave up just a hit to keep Leland off the board.
At the plate, Dani Wilson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Bam Mendoza, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Ann Sobrato now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Gilroy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ann Sobrato hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Gilroy struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
