Football Game Preview: Lakeland Dreadnaughts vs. Davenport Broncos

The Lakeland Dreadnaughts will head out to face off against the Davenport Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeland hasn't scored more than 13 points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Last Monday, Lakeland came up short against Winter Haven and fell 13-6.

Meanwhile, while Davenport put up plenty of points on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy. Davenport took their matchup with ease, bagging a 34-0 victory over Ridgeview Global Studies Academy. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Broncos' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Davenport is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.3 points over those games. Lakeland now has a losing record of 1-2.
