Pinecrest had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 57-30 win over the Pine Forest Trojans. Leading Pinecrest to victory were Najee Gillis and Dayton Knight. Gillis threw for 269 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, while Knight rushed for 98 yards and three scores. The dominant performance also gave Gillis a new career-high in passer rating (162.4). Pinecrest also got a significant boost from Zane Maxwell, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 94 yards.

Pinecrest didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Pine Forest to a completion percentage of just 40.7%. The team can thank Corben Dallas for the heroic effort on defense: he. Despite the loss, Pine Forest still got an impressive performance from Jaidon Moore, who rushed for 103 yards and three TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 199 yards and one touchdown. Calvin Townsen III was another key player, picking up 111 receiving yards and one score.

Pinecrest's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Pine Forest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Pinecrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 26-23 win against Hoke County on the 24th. As for Pine Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-22 defeat against Jack Britt on the 24th.
