Softball Recap: Sturgeon Bulldogs vs. Glasgow Yellowjackets
Sturgeon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Glasgow Yellowjackets, falling 14-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
McKayla Singleton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabelle Boyd, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with an RBI.
Sturgeon's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Glasgow, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Sturgeon will look to defend their home field on Friday against Northeast at 5:30 p.m. As for Glasgow, they will head out to challenge Tina-Avalon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
