Baseball Recap: Baird Takes a Loss

Baird lost to Jayton last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears lost 10-1 to the Jaybirds. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Baird saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Chappell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Chappell has brought in this season.

Baird's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Jayton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Baird will head out on the road to challenge Aspermont at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.2 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jayton, they will welcome Hamlin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Jaybirds will need to watch out since the Pipers have now posted at least ten runs in their last six contests.
