Volleyball Recap: Weed Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Weed lost against Modoc back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Braves by a score of 3-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Weed sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 13-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-12.

Ahmani Collins paced Weed's offense, picking up 15 kills. Collins got some help from Brooklynn Bivens and her 18 assists. Finally, Collins was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Weed's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Modoc, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-2.

Looking ahead, Weed will welcome Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Modoc, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
