John Amaya Game Report: @ Mission Veterans Memorial

For the first time in his career, John Amaya scored a rushing touchdown on Friday. He rushed for 44 yards and one TD as Edcouch-Elsa fell to Mission Veterans Memorial 34-24. We think that's the best game he's posted since last Friday, when he picked up 107 receiving yards and one score.

Looking ahead, Amaya and Edcouch-Elsa will venture away from home to take on McAllen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The last time Amaya duked it out with the Bulldogs (back in September of 2024), the Yellowjackets came out on top by a score of 17-14. Will another strong game from Amaya be enough to do it again?
