Basketball Recap: Plainfield East Takes a Loss

Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Oswego East Wolves, falling 68-28. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while the Wolves are ranked 171st).

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Oswego East, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

Plainfield East will be playing in front of their home fans against Plainfield North at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oswego East, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-56 victory against Oswego on the 11th.
