Everything went their way against the Woodlawn Colonels on Tuesday as they made off with a 23-3 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Morgan Minich was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Edith Kaplan, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Mountain Brook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .839. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
