East Burke was the 2-0 winner over Newton-Conover when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

East Burke's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Newton-Conover, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
