Baseball Game Preview: Lexington Eagles vs. Little River Academy Bumblebees

For the second straight game, Lexington will face off against Little River Academy. Lexington will be playing at home against Little River Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lexington is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Lexington came up short against Little River Academy and fell 7-2.

Lexington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Tomas, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Peyton Stevens was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Little River Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
