Basketball Recap: Corning Cardinals vs. Oroville Tigers
The Corning Cardinals's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down Oroville 52-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Corning also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Corning to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quinton Davis, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Javier Cayetano was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Despite the defeat, Oroville had strong showings from Kevin Taylor, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Jantzen Demitrial, who scored 11 points.
Corning's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Oroville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
Corning will be playing at home against the Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Plumas is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Oroville, they will challenge the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
