Basketball Recap: Rocky Mountain Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

Rocky Mountain hadn't done well against Fossil Ridge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rocky Mountain Lobos enjoyed a cozy 56-40 victory over the Fossil Ridge SaberCats. This was payback for the Lobos, who suffered a 51-47 loss the last time these two teams met.

Meela Delap was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenna Wagner, who went 7 of 11 en route to 14 points and six steals.

Rocky Mountain was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fossil Ridge only racked up nine assists.

Despite the loss, Fossil Ridge still got an impressive performance from Gianna Leone, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Elli Johnson, who put up ten points and five boards.

Rocky Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Fossil Ridge, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6.

Rocky Mountain has already played their next game, a 61-42 win against Fort Collins on the 31st. As for Fossil Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-31 victory against Loveland on the 31st.
