Football Recap: Christiansburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Christiansburg extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers. The Blue Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Jeremiah Barnes threw for 90 yards and one TD. Thierry Macie was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards.

As for Lord Botetourt, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won three games by 28 points or more so far this season.

Lord Botetourt had a senior duo take command as Angel Rigney rushed for 230 yards and four scores while picking up 9.6 yards per carry and Quinten Jones gained 200 total yards.

Christiansburg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pulaski County at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Lord Botetourt, they are taking a road trip to face off against George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
