Softball Recap: Francis Parker's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Francis Parker had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-14 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the San Ysidro Cougars. The Lancers' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.

As for San Ysidro, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For San Ysidro's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maya Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Francis Parker will venture away from home to challenge Coastal Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Stingrays will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Ysidro, they will square off against Montgomery at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Aztecs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
