Basketball Recap: Passaic Valley Comes Up Short

Passaic Valley lost against River Dell back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Passaic Valley Hornets fell just short of the River Dell Golden Hawks by a score of 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hornets have suffered since January 9th.

Aditya Pandya continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for River Dell, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Pandya is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. David Nunez was another key player, putting up nine points along with five assists and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Passaic Valley and nudges their season record down to 4-12. As for River Dell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Passaic Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wayne Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season. As for River Dell, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Indian Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
