Volleyball Game Preview: Oswego East Wolves vs. Minooka Indians

The Oswego East Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Minooka Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Oswego East didn't have quite enough to beat Plainfield South and fell 2-1. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-19 in the first set.

Oswego East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Oswego East's defeat came about despite a quality game from Nathan Thach, who had 15 digs and five assists. Thach is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Meanwhile, Minooka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln-Way West.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17.

Oswego East now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Minooka, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Oswego East came out on top in a nail-biter against Minooka when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
