Glendale Prep Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Valley Christian Academy Lions a 17-0 shutout. Considering the Griffins have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Glendale Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Glendale Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 23-0 victory against Tempe Prep on the 12th. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kingman Academy at 3:45 p.m. on the 22nd.
