Volleyball Recap: Pillow Academy Takes a Loss

Pillow Academy lost against Jackson Prep back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-18 in the first set.

Pillow Academy took Jackson Prep into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-14, 25-18, 19-25, 16-14.

Pillow Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Jackson Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Pillow Academy and Jackson Prep will both be playing Madison-Ridgeland Academy the next time they take the court. The Patriots will host the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
