Basketball Recap: Sebastian River Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Sebastian River Sharks came up short against the Ezell-Harding Christian Eagles and fell 52-45.

Despite the loss, Sebastian River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Destiny Pickard posted 16 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Davione Stinson, who had ten points.

Even though they lost, Sebastian River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Sebastian River's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
