League recap: Reagan Prep/Conservatory of Lifelong Learning rises, Bradley Tech falls in league standings

Milwaukee City - Gold league recap: 5/7/12

Reagan Prep/Conservatory of Lifelong Learning made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from eighth to sixth place in the league thanks to a 4-0 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Bradley Tech fell hardest in the standings, dropping from seventh all the way to ninth place after going 0-2 in the past week. Riverside University (10-3, 9-0) is the No. 1 team in Milwaukee City - Gold.

The Tigers (10-3, 9-0) have won six games in a row, the league's longest active win streak. Three of those wins came in the past week, includinga 16-8 victory over King and a 20-1 win over Pulaski/Milwaukee Arts. Jordan King led the lineup this week with three hits and one RBIs.

The Huskies led the league with 46 runs scored this week, but King still holds the season lead with 143 runs.

The Trojans struck out 46 times as a team over the past week, but Hamilton is still the biggest offender of swings and misses on the season, with 101 in all.



Bradley Tech's Vernon Rash led the league with six hits this week. His seven hits for the year are thirty-eighth in the league, and he boasts a .280 batting average.

Emilio Bastardo was an RBI machine on May 3, 2012, as he knocked in five runs during Hamilton's 15-2 win over Bay View.
